Canine myxomatous mitral valve disease (MMVD) and feline cardiomyopathy (CM) are the most common heart conditions managed by veterinary surgeons.

In the last two decades, several clinical studies have been published to provide new evidence for the best standard of care for these patients. Consequently, new guidelines have been proposed to promote new strategies to diagnose and treat patients in heart failure, as well as those still in the asymptomatic stage.

On Wednesday 27 March 2024, Luca Ferasin, Head of Cardiology at The Ralph, will explain a practical approach to successful management of canine MMVD and feline CM, clarifying some of the controversies which are still affecting the correct interpretation of published guidelines
