Civility Saves Lives: Why Behaviour Matters and What You Can Do.
🗓️ Wednesday 28th February 2024
📍 The Marlow Union Rugby Club, Riverwoods Drive, Marlow SL& 1QU
🕖 Plant-based food and drink available from 19:00, presentation from 19:30-21:00.
In this session, Dan will look at the significance of team behaviour, the perception for how people treat one another and the concept of civility in practice, together with how we might recognise moments of incivility. There will be a chance to understand some of the underlying science that demonstrates a powerful connection between the way in which people are perceived to treat each other with patient outcomes.
As a group, we will then discuss the ways in which events that are perceived as uncivil can be successfully and compassionately addressed, for the sake of people and patients.
Based upon the experience of developing and running a ‘Civility Saves Lives’ Campaign at The Ralph since 2021, following a close collaboration with the original initiative within the NHS, there will be an opportunity to recognise the specific challenges that arise from the inherently subjective nature of incivility and to benefit from lessons that have been learned about how this complex issue be navigated within your team.
Food and drink will be available from 7pm; the presentation will start at 7.30pm.
