This free veterinary CPD session is suitable for both vets and nurses, and is presented by Charlie Tewson, one of our dentistry residents.
60-70% of the tooth structure is hidden beneath the gum line. Dental disease is a common problem for cats and dogs, and diagnostic advancements have given veterinary practices better access to intraoral dental radiography. Dental X-rays are an invaluable tool to diagnose and to structure a treatment plan for our patients, and it is therefore vital that they are meaningfully interpreted.
On Thursday 25th January, our Dentistry Resident, Charlie Tewson, will discuss periodontal disease, tooth fractures, and tooth resorption through the lens of dental radiographs. Charlie will discuss alternatives to extracting teeth, including treatment options for first opinion vets, and when it might be best to refer your patients.
Food and drink will be available from 7pm; the presentation will start at 7.30pm.
