Jo Farminer

Cardiology Nurse

Jo started her nursing career in a veterinary hospital in the Cotswolds, Gloucestershire, where she grew up.

During that appointment, Jo had the privilege of not only working with dogs and cats, but also a wide variety of birds. She moved to Hampshire and qualified as a Registered Veterinary Nurse in 1997. Not long after qualifying, Jo was appointed Head Nurse in a first opinion practice where she remained for the following 18 years.

In 2015, she decided to broaden her nursing career and joined a multi-disciplinary referral hospital, which gave her the opportunity to experience a new aspect of veterinary nursing and further her knowledge within the profession. It was during that time that Jo started working as a referral cardiology nurse and found a niche that she thoroughly enjoyed working in and being a part of and she looks forward to continuing her journey as an experienced cardiology nurse.
