Isla graduated from Nottingham Veterinary School in 2016 and then spent 3 years in small animal practice in and around Birmingham and Wolverhampton. In 2019 she completed her rotating internship, followed by a residency in small animal internal medicine at the Royal Veterinary College. Isla became a member of the American college of Veterinary Internal Medicine in 2023 and her particular interests include gastroenterology and nutrition.

Isla enjoys dressage and running, and prides herself on baking a half decent coffee cake.
