Amber Manley
Hydrotherapy Technician
Amber started her career in the retail sector working at a bakery. However, she has always had a passion for animals and veterinary nursing so she starting studying Animal Management at BCA. At college she was given the opportunity to undertake multiple work experience placements at different veterinary practices. After spending 3 weeks at The Ralph she applied for a part time position as a Patient Care Assistant to do alongside her college course.
Amber is very passionate about animals and their well being. Amber’s journey into hydrotherapy began while working part-time at The Ralph as a PCA and studying animal management at college. Her passion led her to approach the physiotherapy team for work experience, eager to learn about the recovery process, especially for Dachshunds and French Bulldogs dealing with paralysis. Amber’s favourite dog breed is Dachshunds, and although they’re prone to IVDD, she loves working closely with them and supporting their recovery. Amber passed her Level 3 Certificate in Canine Hydrotherapy in early 2025, and pairs this with her Patient Care Assistant (PCA) role to work with patients and get them feeling more mobile than they were before.
In her spare time Amber enjoys baking, crochet/art, and spending time with her friends, family and guinea pig, Caramel.
