Speciality Veterinary Internships from January 2024
Are you a veterinary surgeon looking to specialise in Anaesthesia and Analgesia, Dentistry, Emergency and Critical Care, or Oncology?
We are offering exciting opportunities for internships in these disciplines at our specialist UK veterinary referral centre. You will join our large team (~230 Ralphers) with a busy referral caseload and excellent facilities.
The Ralph is an independent multidisciplinary specialist referral centre for dogs and cats located in beautiful Marlow, Bucks, west of London (just off the A404 with easy access from the M4 and M40 motorways). Marlow is located on the River Thames between Henley and Windsor. This is a beautiful area with lovely walks, water-based activities and more.
We are currently recruiting Speciality Veterinary Interns in the following disciplines to start in January 2024 or as soon thereafter as possible:
~ Anaesthesia and Analgesia
~ Dentistry
~ Emergency and Critical Care
~ Oncology
We are looking for dedicated, enthusiastic veterinary surgeons with a keen interest in these disciplines to start one-year specialist internships at The Ralph Veterinary Referral Centre. Visa sponsorship can be provided. The internship may be extended by mutual agreement.
All our clinical services are Diplomate-led. Despite being a young hospital, many of our services are already approved to offer residencies. We have a growing number of specialists-in-training. There are increasing opportunities for didactic teaching and clinical research. We also support the continuation/completion of Post-Graduate Qualifications. You will receive pastoral support from within your service, from our Resident and Vet Intern Support Officers and from others. You will have regular check-ins and feedback opportunities.
During the internship, you will work in close contact with diplomates in all disciplines, including those listed above, as well as Diagnostic Imaging, Internal Medicine, Neurology and Neurosurgery, Ophthalmology, Orthopaedics and Soft Tissue Surgery. We have an excellent Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation team. Our well-established ICU, with its specialist ECC team, provides a particularly diverse and interesting caseload.
