Emergency and Critical Care Vet Intern

Tanis graduated from the University of Surrey, Guildford in 2022 and started his veterinary journey at a busy 24-hour hospital in Northamptonshire, learning the ropes and reinforcing a strong interest in emergency work which was originally cultivated at The Ralph in 2020. He has recently completed a rotating internship at Dick White Referrals in Cambridgeshire and is hoping to develop his skills further to be of better service to patients and their carers, especially when it is needed most. His key interests include cardiopulmonary resuscitation and clotting disorders, and would one day like to teach soon-to-qualify veterinary and nursing students and carers how to perform CPR and keep calm under pressure – Tanis even has a practice CPR dummy (Reese the Resuscitation Dog!) he is tinkering with at home!

When not at work, Tanis enjoys struggling at rock climbing and bouldering, open water swimming, serving friends and family some classic (and original) cocktails and trying a new board game alongside good company.
