Night Nurse

Rachel started her nurse training in her home county West Yorkshire in 1997. She moved to Hampshire in 2000 and qualified as a Registered Veterinary Nurse in 2001. She has worked in multi discipline referral centres since 2002.

Rachel achieved her Advanced Diploma in Medical Nursing in 2008.

Rachel’s main interests are medical nursing, particularly endocrinology and transfusion medicine, medical neurology, and oncology. She enjoys lecturing in medical nursing at nurse conferences such as BVNA and BSAVA and also helping colleagues develop their knowledge and skills. She is an experienced nursing manager.

Rachel is very passionate about infection control and patient safety. She is a mental health first aider and has a keen interest in wellbeing and psychological safety.

Outside of work, Rachel walks her English Bull Terrier Betty, and enjoys horse riding. She is also a qualified equine sports massage therapist that she enjoys doing in my spare time. Rachel loves catching up with friends.
