Nieka Payne

Nieka graduated from the Royal Veterinary College in 2020 and spent the first two years of her career working in a busy small animal practice in Kent. She then undertook a rotating internship in a large referral hospital in Essex where she had the opportunity to work closely with a team of specialists in a variety of disciplines. Nieka joined Team Ralph as an Internal Medicine Intern in May 2024. She enjoys all aspects of Internal Medicine but has a particular interest in haematological disorders and gastroenterology. As an “ISFM cat friendly veterinary professional” Nieka is also passionate about ensuring hospital visits for feline patients are as comfortable and stress-free as possible.

Outside of work Nieka enjoys reading, knitting and taking her family dogs Rocky and Tula on long country walks.
