Millie Fitzmaurice

Anaesthesia Intern

Millie qualified from the University of Cambridge in 2014 and spent the first few years working in a busy first opinion practice not far from the Ralph, where she treated a wide variety of pets from cats, dogs and rabbits to macaws, giant monitor lizards and marmosets! To better understand these patients Millie completed a certificate in Exotic Animal Practice with Improve International in 2018. However Millie was not satisfied that she had finished learning, and so in 2019 enrolled on a certificate in Veterinary Anaesthesia and Analgesia with the University of Edinburgh.

Whilst working out of hours, Millie discovered a passion for emergency and critical cases, and is eager to learn more about this field from the hugely experienced team here at the Ralph.

When not at work, Millie lives with her husband David, and their border terrier Skye (the true love of her life!), as well as two gerbils and two map terrapins. Millie is a scout leader in Slough and also enjoys travelling, going to music gigs and learning languages.
