Miguel Monteiro

Miguel graduated from the University of Lisbon in 2015, followed by a 5-month externship at the University of Vienna in the Surgery, Anaesthesia and Imaging departments. He then worked as a general practitioner for nearly 10 years in Portugal, Scotland and Guernsey, before settling at Eastcott in Swindon for the past 4 years, where he initially worked as a general practitioner and then completed a Rotating Internship with the Eastcott Referrals team.

He has a keen interest in surgery, particularly Soft Tissue. While working as a general practitioner, he completed a GP Certificate in Small Animal Surgery in 2021 and a GP Advanced Certificate in Soft Tissue Surgery in 2025.

Outside of work, Miguel loves exploring new cultures and cuisines, travelling, and spending quality time with his wife and two cats, Neo and Jiji.
