Magda graduated from the University of Bologna in 2002. She then undertook specialist training in Internal Medicine. During this time, she obtained a Certificate in Small Animal Medicine (Cert SAM, RCVS) in 2008 and became a Board-certified Diplomate (Dip ECVIM-Ca) in 2011. Magda is a recognised European and RCVS Specialist in Internal Medicine.

Magda has worked both in private practice (as Head of Department in two referral-only services in Northern Italy) and as a Senior Lecturer in Internal Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia.

Since 2012, Magda has been an Honorary Lecturer in Veterinary Internal Medicine at the University of Liverpool. Magda continues to support students; she teaches and is involved with examinations for the RCVS Certificate in Advanced Veterinary Practice with the University of Liverpool and the General Practitioner’s Certificate of the European School of Veterinary Postgraduate Studies. Magda has been extensively involved with post-graduate teaching of interns and residents over the years, and has been invited several times to lecture at international and national congresses. She has published original studies in international peer-reviewed journals.

Magda enjoys all aspects of veterinary internal medicine, and has a specialist interest in feline medicine, haematology, gastroenterology, endocrinology and all endoscopic procedures. In the past two years Magda has developed expertise in interventional radiology and endoscopy and has undergone specialist training in the USA in order to be able to perform these procedures.

Magda lives locally with her husband, Simone and her two children, Emma and Frankie. They have a rescue toy poodle called Diva, and two (very cheeky!) rescue cats called Noel and Ike.
