Theatre/Anaesthesia Nurse Intern

Lucy qualified as a registered veterinary nurse in 2021 from the College of Animal Welfare; completing an apprenticeship program where she worked as a student vet nurse at a GP practice in Surrey. After completing the apprenticeship, she decided to travel and volunteer abroad and then eventually returned to take an RVN position at a busy 24-hour hospital in London in 2022. Here she gained a special interest in anaesthesia and surgery. Lucy then started at The Ralph, August 2024, to do the anaesthesia and theatre nursing internship!

Her other interests include conservation and wildlife triage, care and rehabilitation, especially after gaining experience in working with wildlife in South Africa and Zimbabwe and working at a sea turtle rescue centre in The Maldives.

In her spare time Lucy likes to knit, travel, and indulge in good food! When she is not working or on holiday abroad, she spends time at home with her 16 year old cat Milo.
