Katie Commins

Katie graduated from the University of Veterinary Medicine, Budapest 2024. She completed a rotating internship at Ireland’s largest private referral hospital, after which she progressed into a focused Diagnostic Imaging role while also contributing to first opinion out-of-hours care.

She is currently undertaking a postgraduate certification with the AAVR to qualify as an MRI Veterinary Radiographer.

Katie has a particular interest in point-of-care ultrasound in emergency settings and has first authored a TFAST article published in the Veterinary Journal of Ireland

Katie joined The Ralph as a Diagnostic Imaging Intern in February 2026, with the long-term objective of specialising in Diagnostic Imaging.

Outside of her professional life, Katie plays competitive golf, enjoys attending sporting events and baking
