Harriet joins Team Ralph following 20 years working in primary care. She qualified as an RVN in 2003 and has since worked in busy first opinion practice. She has worked in Equine, Small animal and exotic departments where she has always had a passion for Anaesthesia, working alongside a European specialist and certificate holder in Zoo and Avian medicine for 7 years. Harriet enjoyed anaesthesia of exotic patients and loved training student nurses and vet students as part of her day to day work.
In 2019 Harriet completed her ESVPS Nurses certificate in Anaesthesia and, now that her children are slightly older, feels it is time to pursue her passion to join the Theatre team with a bias for Anaesthesia. She is very much looking forward to adapting her knowledge to referral work, along with learning new skills.
In her spare time Harriet’s young family and animals keep her very busy. She loves nothing more than long dog walks with her Labrador, Parsnip, looking after her ponies, Elle’s and Sampson, and spending time with her new Friesian foal, Aragon. She is also often found in the barn with pet sheep Minty and Snowball but on an evening Harriet will be on the sofa with a book, husband Mike and cats Augustus and Arthur.
