Giorgia graduated from the University of Bologna in 2013. After her graduation, she worked in general practice and completed a Rotating Internship in Milan. Giorgia then worked for four years in the Intensive Care Unit of a referral hospital in Bologna, where she developed a particular interest in Anaesthesia and Analgesia of critical patients.

In 2018, she moved to the UK to undertake an internship in anaesthesia at the Animal Health Trust. In September 2019, Giorgia started her Residency, which she completed between the AHT, the University of Liverpool and a referral centre in the West Midlands. Her areas of interest include Anaesthesia for Interventional Cardiology, Anaesthesia for Critical patients and pain management. Giorgia became a Diplomate of the European College of Veterinary Anaesthesia and Analgesia in December 2023.

In 2025, Giorgia acted as Operational Lead to the Anaesthesia and Analgesia Service. She has since stepped down from this role to focus on clinical activities, including expanding her knowledge and competence in acupuncture and locoregional analgesia techniques.

Outside of work, Giorgia likes spending time with her bicentennial dog, Willy Wonka, and her almost one-legged cat, Toto. She also likes cooking vegan cuisine, practising yoga and travelling with her friends
