Fred Benham-Crosswell

Fred Benham-Crosswell
BA VetMB PGDip (VCP) MRCVS
Anaesthesia Intern
Fred graduated from Cambridge in 2020 and spent two years in a busy first opinion clinic in London which involved a lot of emergency work. He spent a year as a rotating intern at the Royal Veterinary College, where he found a passion for anaesthesia. Fred spent another year in general practice where he worked to increase the standard of anaesthetic monitoring and introduced epidural and more locoregional anaesthesia. After a year, Fred realised how much he missed learning in a specialist environment and has come to the Ralph to improve his anaesthesia skills. He is carrying out a research project into anaesthesia for airway surgery, and is also interested in the anaesthesia of critically ill patients.
Outside of work, Fred likes to run, swim and cycle and puts up with Barry, his badly-behaved rescue cat.
