Ed graduated from the University of Nottingham in 2017 and spent the next 9 years honing his veterinary experience in the Midlands. This involved four years in general practice, two years of self-employment, a rotating internship, a dedicated medicine internship, and two years as Assistant Professor in Small Animal Medicine at the University of Nottingham. These experiences were interspersed with out-of-hours shifts, where Ed fostered his current love for the intensity and rush of emergency medicine.

Altogether, Ed’s time in the Midlands quenched his intense thirst for knowledge and desire to be an excellent, well-rounded veterinarian. However, as a big city boy at heart (and huge Arsenal fan), Ed was always destined to move down to London, so he joined The Ralph in July 2026. He currently lives in southwest London with his ever-growing family of two cats, a whippet, a Rottweiler, a human partner, and his favourite local foxes, with whom he shares his garden.

When not thinking about work (a rarity), Ed always keeps himself busy with a plethora of hobbies including squash, football, running, Dungeons & Dragons, rollerskating, chess and learning the piano. He is also very passionate about condiments, having over 100 different sauces to accompany his food at home!
