Internal Medicine Intern
Cláudia completed her master’s degree in Veterinary Medicine in 2015 at the Vasco da Gama University School in Coimbra, Portugal.
Prior to moving to the United Kingdom, she spent two years working in the small animal department at the Veterinary Hospital of the University of Trás-os-Montes and Alto Douro (HV-UTAD) in Vila Real, Portugal, where she developed her clinical skills in internal medicine, emergencies and in-patient care.
After concluding a one-year rotating internship at Vale Referrals in Gloucestershire, she took a job at a charity practice in Portsmouth as a general practitioner.
Her long-term goal is to become a specialist in Internal Medicine and she has a particular interest in endocrinology and nephrology.
Cláudia has a furry best friend back in Portugal, a feisty black cat named Frida. In her spare time, Cláudia likes to read, write poetry and go stargazing.
