Alexandra Fiordean-Aczel
Rotating Nurse
Alex began her veterinary nursing career in 2017 as a volunteer, progressing through roles in different first-opinion and out-of-hours practices. She qualified as a Registered Veterinary Nurse in 2023 and worked in a small practice as a clinical coach, supporting student nurses through OSCEs. In first opinion practice, she particularly enjoyed weight management clinics and being a cat advocate. She gained experience through locum work in out-of-hours and referral practices. This year, she wanted to pursue a nursing career in a referral practice. She has a strong interest in internal medicine, emergency care, and critical care, and recently completed her internal medicine certificate course. She is currently waiting for the results.
Outside work, Alex is passionate about animal welfare, and she volunteers with a range of animal charities in the UK and overseas, supporting both domestic animals and wildlife. She loves to travel and is very proud to have completed the 4-day Salkantay trek in Peru. She loves adventure, loves creative projects, board games and exploring the outdoors. She is currently living with her husband, Paul and her two rescue cats, Couscous and Wednesday.
