The Neurology and Neurosurgery Service at The Ralph has been rapidly growing this year and it is nowhere near stopping, both in terms of the people and in terms of the procedures that we can offer, with the aim to provide more and more help to our little friends and their carers in need” – Lorenzo.

Lorenzo Mari graduated with honours at the University of Veterinary Medicine of Milan in 2010 and soon after that he moved to the UK to complete a general internship, followed by a neurology internship and then a three year residency programme in neurology and neurosurgery. After obtaining the title of Diplomate of the European College of Veterinary Neurology and of EBVS and RCVS Recognised Specialist in the field, Lorenzo has worked in several referral centres between the UK and Italy, before joining The Ralph as Head of Neurology and Neurosurgery in June 2022.

Lorenzo is speaker at international congresses and first author and co-author of numerous papers covering various topics of veterinary neurology.

Lorenzo will be working closely with fellow Diplomate, Cristoforo Ricco, Senior Neurology Intern, Despoina Douralidou, Neurology Intern, Irenka Baldó Clemot, Senior Neurology Nurse Miguel Borralho and Neurology Nurse Shannon Nicholls as they continue to serve the needs of our referring practices and pet carers.
