For Cat Carers | Ageing Gracefully: The Benefits of Physiotherapy for Older Cats
Wednesday, 18 September 2024, 19:00 - 20:30
If you live with an ageing cat and would like to learn some small changes that can make a big difference to their mobility and comfort, then this online talk is perfect for you.
Perhaps you notice your cat having difficulty with day-to-day activities such as jumping up onto furniture or climbing stairs. This easy-to-understand talk will help explain why your furry friend may be struggling, and what you can do to help them.
In the first 45 minutes, our Head of Physiotherapy + Rehabilitation, Kim Sheader, will discuss how physiotherapy can benefit ageing cats and improve their quality of life. Kim will demonstrate simple exercises and massage techniques that can be carried out at home, alongside some tips for making this a comfortable experience for both you and your cat.
The content is entirely suitable for those with little-no clinical knowledge, and Kim will hold a 30-minute “Ask Me Anything” session at the end of the talk, so bring your questions!
All cat carers, and those who work to improve the lives of cats, are welcome to join Kim online via Zoom on Wednesday 18th September at 7pm. We look forward to seeing you there and being a small part of your journey with your cat.
Can’t make it? Not to worry, the session will be recorded and available on our Library + Learning page within a few weeks of the event.
